Brain-dead

Just a poem I wrote late last night while thinking about all the technology we have nowadays, and the extreme reliance on it.

Brain-dead,
in my head.
Brain-dead,
mind full of lead.
Brain-dead,
ain't got no more red.
Brain-dead,
technologically wed.
Brain-dead,
robotically fed.
Brain-dead,
an electronic bed.
Brain-dead,
are the last words he said.

Include

This poem was interesting to write, as I wrote one stanza then took a break and wrote another on it's own, so each stanza is unique to itself. The poem is titled, "Include".


I Want to have memorable days,
Days I can praise.
When I look back and reminiscent,
I wanna see happiness and joy.

I want to forget the anger and fear,
All I want to hear
is the voices of those close to me,
those no longer with me.

I want to be proud of my past,
it went by far too fast,
So when I look back,
Bliss I do not lack.

I want to tell stories when I'm old,
feats of me being bold.
And in all those stories too,
I want to include you.

Been A While

So, it really has been a while since I have posted a poem on here. The thing is, I still write a lot of poetry, I just do not post it, or do not record it as I come up with it, so I have a lot of poems that are not completed yet. I hopefully will start up on the poetry more again, so be on the lookout!

Waiting

This is just a short little poem I wrote in abstract, as it can really apply to anything. It is titled, "Waiting".

Waiting,
for something,
for nothing.

Waiting,
for someday,
for what day?

Waiting, nothing but waiting,
for an opportunity that waiting won't give.
